2022 Lexus IS With its premium chisel and interior features, the Lexus IS 2022 looks like part of a compact sports sedan. Three engines are available: turbo four-cylinder, V-6, or V-8, with the last two engines featuring aggressive F Sport styling and chassis enhancements.
Despite its appearance, the IS provides a smooth ride, but those looking for sharp handling may find it too soft. Rivals such as the Audi A4, BMW 3-series, and Genesis G70 offer more driving interactions and more vibrant powertrains.
However, IS offers an entry-luxury package complete with good-looking style and desirable features that should win over buyers looking for curb appeal.
2022 Lexus IS Review
When IS arrived in the US in 2001, it tried to get the Series 3 out of the Series 3, delivering sporty rear-drive dynamics in a compact sedan package with Lexus luxury and reliability. That’s the formula ISIS has followed since then.
After extensive updates for the 2021 model year, expect the sports sedan to remain largely unchanged until 2022 except for the muscular IS500 F Sport Performance model.
Here’s what we know about the car, and what you can expect from the rest of the Lexus IS 2022 lineup.
The top-of-the-line IS500 F Sport Performance model joins the lineup for 2022 and offers a 472 hp 5.0-liter V-8 engine and elements of a more aggressive exterior styling.
The protruding hood, rear diffuser, quad exhaust tips, and smooth trunk lid spoiler are all unique on the IS500.
What’s new
- The new V-8 powered IS500 F Sport Performance adds to the sporty performance of the lineup
- Positioned above the regular IS350 F Sport model, the new IS500 debuts Lexus’s new F Sport Performance trim

2022 Lexus IS News
The world will continue even though the Coronavirus pandemic is currently sweeping the world. Although it is too early to know when life will return to normal, automakers are still preparing future models.
Today, a massive leak has been revealed thanks to AllCarNews on Instagram revealing what Toyota and Lexus have planned until 2024. Some of the following have been rumored but there is at least one new vehicle that we don’t see coming.
First, the next-generation Toyota 86 and its younger brother, the Subaru BRZ. Both are expected to debut in July 2021 and the 86 will be renamed GR86. Power will come from a new turbocharged engine with a reported 255 horsepower.
Of course, the rear-wheel-drive will remain. Furthermore, the Toyota Camry will also receive a mid-life refresh that year, followed by Avalon in 2022. The next-generation Camry won’t be due until 2024.
Also in 2021, we’ll see a new Corolla-based crossover whose name hasn’t been announced yet. One possibility is the Corolla Cross, which has the potential to start production at a joint factory with Toyota-Mazda in Alabama, which is still under construction.

As we previously reported, the Toyota Venza wagon crossover will also return in 2021. In all likelihood, it will share a decent number of parts with the Camry, once again.
Moving on to trucks and SUVs, leaked reports suggest the new Toyota 4Runner and Sequoia will debut for the 2023 model year. Both will share TNGA-F Tundra’s next-generation architecture. Sequoia and Tundra will ditch the 5.7-liter V8 to support the new V6 twin-turbo hybrid. 4Runner will get this machine too.
The redesigned Toyota Tacoma will arrive in 2024, but there are no exact details yet.
As for the Toyota Land Cruiser, it looks set to come in 2022 but unlike the current model, it will be an off-roader without a hint of luxury. In other words, it’s back to basics. Sweet.
As for Lexus, unlike the Land Cruiser, its LX counterpart will take the opposite approach by becoming a rival to the Bentley Bentayga, powered by the same twin-turbo V6. In general, Lexus drops all V8 models for under $ 90,000. The new twin-turbo V8 will power the long-awaited LC-F in 2022.
Also that year, the ES and LS will get a refresh. Surprisingly, the Lexus GS was immediately replaced by an RWD sedan based on the Toyota Mirai.
Previously, the next Lexus IS, last updated in 2016, will debut in 2021, followed by the new RX and GX in 2023. Finally, the new Lexus NX will arrive in 2021 and will use the TNGA-K platform with a total of five different powertrains and 14 touchscreens. new inches.
This is a lot of new information that needs to be understood, but Toyota and Lexus have a very aggressive new product offensive on the way. We can’t wait.
2022 Lexus IS Interior
Although not as large or luxurious as the Lexus flagship LS sedan, the compact IS still offers a premium experience. Powered front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a push start button are standard features, while a powered sunroof and leather seats are options.
When the IS was redesigned for the 2021 model year, Lexus made minor changes to the interior, but sharp eyes will see the moved cupholders, the round air vents near the door panels, and the infotainment system moved closer to the edge of the dashboard.
An 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system is standard and also uses a touchpad that is mounted on the console; a larger 10.3-inch screen is optional and comes with on-dash navigation.
Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa are compatible with both systems. As with the previous generation IS, a Mark Levinson premium stereo system is available as an option, but this time it has 17 speakers and 1800 watts of power.
Lexus consistently produces high-quality interiors covered with soft-touch surfaces and high-end materials. However, the company has also shown a tendency to tread polarizing areas with its designs.
We hope that the LQ cabin will lean more towards the sleek luxury found in the LC than the busy layouts found in today’s RX mid-size crossovers.
Undoubtedly, this most classy Lexus SUV will be equipped with luxurious amenities. Each model is sure to come with leather seats, a heated steering wheel, and heated and ventilated front seats.
We also expect to offer premium options such as richer, smoother leather, heated rear seats, massage front seats, and a touch screen with individual controls mounted on the center console of the rear seats.
Of course, the LQ must provide plenty of passenger space on both lines. It’s also safe to assume that it will have enough cargo volume to accommodate at least a few carry-on cases with the seats facing up.
Plugging the holes left by the GS would require a fancier interior, and Lexus covers the front. The dashboard will get reworked to update it with the latest stylistic language, so stay tuned for influence from LS.
Likewise, the infotainment will be upgraded to Lexus’ latest hardware and software, a marginal improvement of one of the most unintuitive user interfaces in the industry.
If the LQ is ultimately influenced by newer Lexus models (such as the LS sedan), the LQ could share the infotainment system and connectivity features. It shows a 12.3-inch center screen with a touchpad controller and a few other physical buttons.
Hopefully, the screen on the LQ will respond to touch input because the settings on the LS don’t, which means the user will have to manipulate the infotainment system via an unintuitive touchpad.
However, we hope that the crossover will also have the desired content that includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Amazon Alexa compatibility, built-in navigation, Wi-Fi hotspot, and more.
2022 Lexus IS Tech
Like the 2021 model, 2022 IS should offer two infotainment display options: a standard 8.0-inch unit, and a 10.3-inch increment. Both are touch screens, but can also be controlled by the touchpad on the center console.
Standard connectivity features will likely include Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Amazon Alexa, Bluetooth streaming, and two front-line USB ports. As before, there should be a reconfigurable gauge cluster display that can show the information and layout of the tachometer that changes depending on the driving mode.
Mark Levinson’s 17-speaker premium audio system will likely be offered as an upgrade from the standard setup.
2022 Lexus IS Exterior
The exterior styling will draw influence from the latest Lexus models. Taking a hint from the LS, we believe Lexus will slightly reduce the controversial “spindle” grille by fitting it to the front end with less protrusion.
The headlights will also be updated to a new style, with the DRL swoosh moved into the headlamp lens. The new rear will be enhanced with more prominent hips over a wider rear track to give the car a sportier feel.
2022 Lexus IS Engine
2022 IS has three engine options: a 241-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder in the 2022 Lexus IS300, a 311-hp V-6 on the 2022 Lexus IS350, and now a 472-hp V-8 in the IS500 F Sport Performance model.
We had never liked the four cylinders in the IS300’s previous tests, as their blunt character did not match the athletic chassis of the car.
Ordering the V-6 allows the IS to shine and unlocks the F Sport package, which delivers many performance enhancements such as a limited-slip rear differential, 19-inch wheel stagger, and optional adaptive suspension.
When we tested the IS350 F Sport rear-wheel drive, we recorded a fast time of 5.6 seconds from zero to 60 mph – the average for this fast class. Looking for the highest IS? The V-8 powered IS500 model is one to consider.
We haven’t had the opportunity to test it, but Lexus claims it’s capable of running 4.5 seconds from zero to 60 mph. When we get behind the wheel, we’ll update this story with test results and driving impressions.
Today’s four-door sports cars often use turbocharged or even all-electric six-cylinder engines. The IS500 kicks off the old school with the stocky 5.0 liter V-8 that is aspirated naturally.
The engine loves to spin, producing 472 peak horsepower at 7,100 rpm and 395 lb-ft of torque at 4,800 rpm. All of that is sent to the rear wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission.
If the machine looks familiar, it is. It’s the 2UR-GSE, the same designation as the block under the IS F’s bulging hood. The IS500 is more powerful and likely produces fewer emissions, but the fact that the 2022 luxury sedan uses a V-8 that is more than a decade old adds to the charm of the IS500 muscle car.
Engines on other 2022 are models are expected to be brought in from 2021. That means the 2.0-liter turbo-four engine delivers 241 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque at the 2022 Lexus IS300 RWD, or the 3.5-liter V-6 at 260 hp and 236 lb-ft in. 2022 Lexus IS300 AWD.
A high-output 3.5-liter V-6 should return 311 hp and 277 lb-ft in the IS350 F Sport.
Lexus predicts the IS500 will accelerate from zero to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds. That seems like a plausible assumption, considering that our test team had recorded two-tenths of a second acceleration results from the Lexus IS F, GS F, and RC F, which use the same V-8 engine.
Count on us to find out for sure as soon as we have access to the IS500.
The 2021 Lexus IS will not be an all-new model, and therefore will not be built on Toyota’s luxurious TNGA-L rear-drive architecture. Instead, it will continue to run with the existing New N platform introduced back in 2013. This doesn’t mean it will drive the same way.
We were told the chassis had been upgraded, and the suspension had undergone a thorough rework, with the new IS being the first Lexus product to be developed at Toyota’s new facility in Shimoyama, a Nürburgring-like R&D center in the mountains outside Toyota City, Japan.
Although the bones of the car have been repaired, we expect very few changes under the hood.
Our understanding is that today’s machines will carry over. This means the 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine delivers 241 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque, the mid-range 3.5-liter V-6 engine delivers 260 hp and 236 lb-ft, and the high-performance 3.5-liter V-6 engine.
Produces 311 hp and 277 lb-ft. All will have the rear-drive and eight-speed automatic, with all-wheel drive only available on the V-6 model.

If you’re hoping the demise of the bigger GS sedan might mean a return of the IS F sports sedan, keep hope. Until recently, there was no IS F on the cards, although with the IS having to cover for the current GS, Lexus is considering the new range-topping IS 500.
Instead of the GS F 5.0-liter V-8, the IS 500 will borrow the good LS 500 3.5-liter twin-turbo V-6 for 416 hp and 442 lb-ft. Lexus product planners are still deciding whether this model makes sense, so you definitely won’t see it at launch. Start rummaging through the cages if you want to see them hit the market.
We believe the LQ will inherit the powertrains from the LS, which means there may be a traditional petrol engine as well as a hybrid variant. The first might be a 416 hp 3.4-liter twin-turbocharged V-6 paired with a 10-speed automatic.
This last combination could be a 3.5-liter V-6 engine and two electric motors producing a combined 354 horsepower; a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) will regulate hybrid power. Both configurations are expected to be available with rear or all-wheel drive.
While we expect Lexus to offer the F Sport model, which traditionally features high-performance hardware and unique chassis tuning, the LQ will mostly focus on luxury. It must have a gentle ride and a relaxed driving character.
2022 Lexus IS MPG
The EPA has provided the most efficient IS – the four-cylinder, rear-wheel-drive 2022 Lexus IS300 model – an estimated fuel economy of 31 mpg on the highway and 21 mpg city. The V-6 2022 Lexus IS350 is rated as high as 28 mpg on the highway and as low as 19 mpg in the city; the IS500 number has not been published.
When we drove the IS350 all-wheel-drive on a 200-mile highway fuel-economy test route, the result was 30 mpg. For more information on IS fuel economy, visit the EPA website.
Neither the EPA nor Lexus have released a fuel economy estimate for the LQ 2022. Since we think the crossover can share powertrains with the LS, its government rating could be close to that of a sedan. The gas-powered LS is currently expected to produce up to 19 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway.
This hybrid is rated for up to 25 mpg city and 33 highway. Once we have the official figures for the LQ, and we get a chance to test both powertrains on our 200-mile highway route, we can evaluate real-world mpg.
2022 Lexus IS500 First Look
Here we are concerned about the future of performance at Lexus. The mid-sized GS sports sedan and its spicy GS F halo flatlined last year, and Lexus seems to have busied itself diluting the hot-stem division’s F name with the flash-over-dash F Sport styling package available even on hybrid, crossover, and hybrid ones. cross.
Only one full-blown F model- the RC F coup e-was left, and an entire generation has grown up realizing that the screaming V-10 – powered LFA sports car exists.
It’s no wonder the recently updated IS sedans, especially the IS 350 F Sport model, feel like chest compressions that keep Lexus’ performance alive. The IS350’s sporty ride and hand balance are satisfying and enjoyable, although the 311-hp V-6 engine can use a jolt.
But step back, everyone, because the defibrillator has arrived: the IS500. The IS’ high revving 5.0 liter naturally aspirated V-8 engine is as thrilling as a paddle applied without the cold medical jelly and lowers resistance. Guys, we’ve found his pulse.
Due to the lack of a more complex rear story, the IS500 is the IS350 F Sport with every available performance upgrade, plus the all-important engine swap. There’s a 5.0 liter V-8 where the 3.5 liter V-6 IS350 will be. Likewise, the IS500 produces an additional 161 hp and 115 lb-ft of torque over the 2022 Lexus IS350 output, for a total of 472 hp and 395 lb-ft.
The IS needed some minor work fitting the larger engine with its compact muzzle, mostly pushing the radiator forward, extending the front fenders to make less room and filling the bumper, and installing a new hood with a 2.0-inch power dome to clean it. core V-8.
Given how the IS500 is aimed solely at the North American market (leaving aside costly and engineering-intensive structural changes) and the absence of any further details from Lexus, it can be assumed that the installation of the V-8 is not that difficult.
In addition to a new set of lightweight Enkei 19-inch alloy wheels (1 pound lighter at the front, 2 pounds at the rear), two extra strakes are molded into the rear bumper diffuser, dark chrome window trim, and quad exhaust outlets (two per side, stacked like an on the previous F model), the IS500 looks exactly like the IS350 F Sport. There are fewer “F” badges on the IS500 than on the 2022 Lexus IS350, with only the Lexus “L” logo and small “IS500” letters on the trunk lid.
It’s very subtle, but if you think the IS500 might seem even more surprising if it doesn’t look like any other IS… sure. You might as well Google the Wikipedia page for the latest Lexus IS F, IS with the V-8 – this same engine covered by a hood with a very similar protrusion – and wonder why the IS500 wasn’t called the IS F.
Unless the IS500 isn’t the IS F. The muscular IS was sold between 2008 and 2012 and is defined by this 416-hp version of the V-8 and the track-ready chassis. Entire generations of IS have come and gone without the new F, and Lexus is not saying whether someone will join the current IS family. So that IS500, and outside of the engine, don’t make a big improvement over the 2022 Lexus IS350.
Lexus is adamant that the IS500 is recognized as an “F Sport Performance” variant, a new level of performance it creates between the lightweight F Sport treatment and the F (you know, if Lexus still offers the IS F).
Curious how you will see this new F-minus model? We were directed to the tiny “F Sport” fender badge, which swaps the IS350 F Sport’s white background paint for black – a gap only visible to spectators is equipped with Terminator-style bionic telephoto eyeballs.
It’s easier to see how the IS500 fits perfectly into the F Sport Performance program between these two new Fs with the mix of F Sport components and whole-milk F borrowed from the IS350 sedan and the RC F coupe. For example the engine: This is the same unit, producing the same power, which is used in the current RC F coupe. It does however rotate the IS500 rear tires through the IS350’s eight-speed automatic and the limited-slip rear differential of that model’s Dynamic Handling package. You can’t get the RC F torque vector rear diff available.
Other IS350 F Sport Dynamic Handling components are standard, including Sport + and Custom drive modes (over Normal, Sport S, and Eco), adaptive dampers, stiffer springs, 19-inch summer tires with stagger width, and a trunk-lid spoiler.
Yamaha’s new rear chassis dampers for 2022 dampen vibrations and body deflection (other Lexus models have used this long horizontal damper), and the brake rotors are increased in size to 14.0 inches at the front and 12.7 inches at the rear.
Lexus, on the other hand, relies on good old-fashioned engine speed and capacity to generate massive power – and enough for it to compete on paper with the 472-hp Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing, 473-hp BMW M3, and 469- hp Mercedes-AMG C63.
The redline is marked at 7,300 rpm, and peak hp reaches the stratosphere of 7,100 rpm. Like the RC F and the previous F model which used the same 5.0-liter engine, the IS500 uses a tube that connects the intake and firewall to deliver the V-8’s scintillating grunt.
The tube is a worthy metaphor for the IS500 as a whole. This allowed the driver to highlight the V-8’s prowess aerial and motivational while practically no one else was the wiser.
Some of those around you in traffic might notice the extra exhaust bulging unless you whip the thing, and even then they’ll likely assume you’re using an IS350 with an aftermarket exhaust.
Details such as price, full fuel economy forecast, and how much the V-8 shifts the IS weight balance forward will have to wait until it approaches the end of the year sale date. That’s how this new “almost F” will impact future Lexus Performance models. But don’t turn off the vibes here.
We’re told that the engine and other changes add 148 pounds to the IS350’s curb weight, bringing that claimed figure to just under 3,900 pounds – 50 pounds lighter than the RC F coupe with the same V-8.
Lexus estimates the IS500 can hit 60 mph in 4.5 seconds; The barely heavier RC F does the same in 4.3 seconds and reaches a top speed of 168-mph. It is no exaggeration to expect a similar real-world number from the IS500, thought that speeds the pulse. Now, with a feeling, please F it, Lexus.
2022 Lexus IS 500 F Sport
The Lexus IS 500 F Sport Performance 2022 revives the dormant IS F formula, bringing V8 power back to the compact luxury Japanese sports sedan for the first time since 2014 and confirming rumors of a new series of V8 (small p) powered performance cars from Lexus.
Very little has surprised us lately, especially in the luxury segment, but if you told us a month ago that we will confirm a V8-powered Lexus IS and a new line of four cylinders for Mercedes-Benz C-Class in the same week, we will call you crazy.
The presence of parent company Toyota in Texas may have influenced Lexus because, after a hiatus of years, the V8-powered IS sedan is back. Correctly. A V8. In the new compact sports sedan. In 2021.
The new sports sedan will pack 472 horsepower, a 5.0-liter V8 with 395 pound-feet of torque, making it the spiritual successor of the discontinued Lexus IS F. For those who keep track of the house, yes, it’s the same as that of the Lexus V8. used elsewhere in recent years.
Today it drives the RC F coupe and, until last year, it was also found under the hood of the larger GS F sedan. Like the power-fit BMW M3, Lexus will come standard with rear-wheel drive and a limited-slip differential, making it a true performance machine.
Power will go to the rear via the same eight speeds that Lexus automatics use elsewhere too. Sorry guys, no sticks, but hey, IS F doesn’t have either, so don’t be too picky.
The original IS F also offered just 416 horsepower and 371 lb.-ft. torque, so remember this is all upside down here. The original also launched without LSD, if you remember; it came later.
Another significant advantage the IS 500 F Sport Performance has over its predecessor that was phased out over two generations will be the benefits of nearly a decade of interior development. While the IS platform isn’t significantly overhauled for the 2021 “re-imagining” (as Lexus says; we prefer the term “remodeled”), the interior and the IS 500 F Sport Performance will benefit from all of that base sedan. improvements, including a completely overhauled infotainment system, which is day and night better than previously offered.
The seats on the IS 500 F Sport Performance look the same as the IS 350 F Sport, which makes sense.
The IS 500 F Sport Performance will lift the rest of the F Sport IS 350 RWD package as well, so adaptive variable suspension and improved springs, dampers, and anti-roll bars should also be on the card, although with adjustments to account for an additional IS 500 F Sport Performance 143 pounds of curb weight.
Yes, that 5.0 fee will cost you as much as taking your neighbors out for fun. Lexus claims the IS 500 F Sport Performance weighs 3,891 pounds. The original IS F was scaled at 3,780.
Lexus didn’t mention the all-wheel-drive model, which might be bad news for those who need a one-size-fits-all solution, but the AWD system offered at IS only adds weight and complexity.
It’s also a bit of a hassle, as it requires a noticeable protrusion into the driver’s side footwell to make room for the necessary drivetrain components. It’s also paired with a decidedly less sophisticated (or snappy) six-speed automatic. With apologies to those who feel the need for extra cogs, we are not bothered by the neglect.
You will notice that Lexus slips the word “Performance” into the name of the new V8-powered car. Lexus calls this the first in a new lineup of fan-oriented models that “will attract passionate driving enthusiasts who desire a higher level of performance than the standard F SPORT model.” While that means the V8 here, Lexus makes no indication that we should read it over to the next Performance (capital P) version. Color us with curiosity – and more than a little zing.
We also don’t know what this means for the future “F” as a Lexus performance brand. The existence of the RC F coupe has long been a rationalization for not reviving the Lexus IS F sedan, so we can’t help but wonder if we should take this as a sign that the couple won’t belong in this world. Our deceased friend, GS F, clearly set a bleak precedent.
Lexus IS 300 AWD 2022
Updates to the redesigned 2022 Lexus IS 300 AWD vehicle last year this work has struck the perfect balance of sportsmanship and sophistication making it the best IS to date.
Building on this success, the 2022 Lexus IS 300 AWD and 350 F SPORT return for 2022 with a new option package that adds additional refinement and comfort to the front-engine rear-wheel-drive sports sedan session.
The all-new Premium package is available on the 2022 Lexus IS 300 AWD and includes some interior and exterior features in this sports sedan.
Meanwhile, the current convenience package includes intermittent rain-sensing windshield wipers and rearview mirrors that have been set in automatic dimming with the Homelink system. 2022 IS 350 F SPORT sedan received a new Memory Package and power rear blinds are available as an available option as well.
2022 IS 300 RWD will have an MSRP range starting at $38,635, while the IS 300 AWD will start at $40,625. The IS 350 F SPORT RWD will start at $43,050, with the AWD model priced at $45,050. The 2022 IS is expected to arrive at dealerships by the end of this fall.
The 2022 Lexus IS 300 AWD engine will be available in both rear- and all-wheel drive options and there are three different powertrain options available depending on the slope.
Equipped with rear-wheel drive, the IS 300 is powered by a 2.0-liter inline-four engine, turbocharged and intercooled. The 2.0-liter engine is updated for 2021, featuring adaptive transmission control that helps determine the most appropriate gear for each driving situation based on driver input to achieve a linear response.
This engine is rated excellent for producing 241 horsepower, the rugged four-cylinder also produces a solid 258 lb-ft of torque in a flat torque range from 1,650 rpm to 4,400 rpm.
The output of this engine is not only powerful but also efficient which is supported by an advanced Intelligent Wide Variable Valve Timing (VVTi-W) system that allows the engine to switch between Otto and Atkinson combustion cycles to maximize efficiency. It is equipped with an eight-speed Sport Direct Shift (SPDS) automatic transmission.
For added traction in cold weather climates the 2022 Lexus IS 300 AWD Sedan is also available with all-wheel drive. The IS 300 AWD is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 that produces 260 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque to all four wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission.
The electronically controlled all-wheel-drive system is designed to help improve traction and grip by automatically varying front-to-rear torque distribution.
On a dry road, the 2022 Lexus IS 300 AWD maintains a 30:70 front-to-rear torque distribution for maximum performance but is capable of delivering as much as 50% power to the front wheels under certain conditions.
For buyers who crave maximum power, there’s the IS 350 in rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive powered by a 3.5-liter V6 that produces 311 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of peak torque.
The rear-wheel-drive model uses the same eight-speed Sport Direct Shift automatic transmission found on the IS 300 RWD, while the AWD version sends power via a six-speed automatic transmission.
If you have questions about the performance properties of each vehicle, just look at their 0-60 times, as the IS 350 RWD covers the ground in 5.6 seconds while the IS 350 AWD goes from 0-60 mph in 5.7 seconds.
2022 Lexus IS 250

The Lexus IS250’s Reliability Rating is 4.0 out of 5. IS 250 2022 Ranked 7th out of 32 for all car brands. Learn more about the Lexus IS250 2022 Reliability Rating.
2022 Lexus IS Price
While we were most attracted to the high-performance IS500 model, we haven’t had the chance to test it out yet. Meanwhile, we recommend the mid-range IS350 F Sport with rear-wheel drive. The F Sport package not only offers a more aggressive exterior styling but is also equipped with unique 19-inch wheels with larger rear tires, a cool air intake system, a limited-slip rear differential, F Sport exhaust, and heated and ventilated sport seats. We also chose the Dynamic Handling package, which includes an adaptive suspension system.

2022 Lexus IS 350 Release Date
After getting a new look last year, the Lexus IS 2022 comes with a new trim level and a V8 engine. The all-new IS 500 F Sport Performance model includes some impressive oomph from a naturally aspirated V8 engine — a rarity on the market today. In addition to the new trim, the 2022 IS is expected to be a carryover model.
2022 Lexus IS300 Release Date
Lexus IS300 2022 had planned to reveal the new IS at the New York auto show that was postponed since it was delayed and is now targeting an independent disclosure sometime this summer. Since this is a major overhaul of an all-new product, we expect prices to remain the same, with the car’s base price being just under $ 40,000 when it goes on sale later this year.
Lexus hasn’t said how much the LQ will cost or what trim levels it will offer. We expect the starting price to be a few thousand dollars more than the LS, which should be around $ 80,000 when it finally goes on sale.
Lexus will release the new IS F sedan in 2022, according to a new report from the Japanese news site Response.
The Lexus super-sedan was discontinued in 2014 to support the RC F coupe and the GS F sedan, and fans of the brand have been expecting the new version ever since. According to this latest rumor, the IS F will be powered by a 3.5L twin-turbo V6 from the fifth-generation LS 500 – if true, it’s likely that this engine will require a boost of over 416 horsepower currently on the LS 500, as current competitors for the IS F are already beyond this figure.
The 2020 release date for the new model is the newest estimate.
