Despite its positive attributes, the NX just doesn’t have the quality all around many competitors. The Lexus NX is a good SUV. It gets a good fuel economy, provides two rows of spacious seats, and offers a lot of technical features. However, it is lagging behind its competitors in many other areas, including loading space, interior quality, use of infotainment, and overall performance. Do I need to buy the Lexus NX? The NX is not a great value despite one of the lowest price tags in the class. There are few reasons to choose this Lexus on top tier rivals that offer everything the NX does and then some. Instead, consider alternatives such as the BMW X3 and the Mercedes-Benz GLC.
Do I need to buy a new or used Lexus NX? The 2019 NX belongs to a generation that started with the model year 2015. There are no major changes for 2019, but there were a lot of 2018. The NX has received style updates, a larger standard infotainment screen and new standard driver support features such as track start warning, track guard assistance, adaptive speed controller and more. The models from 2015 to 2017 are almost identical.

There are no higher NX toppings, but you can add optional features and packages that increase the price. Which is better: Lexus NX or BMW x3? The BMW x3 has energetic engine options, and it is one of the most fun SUVs to drive the class. It comes with a standard four-cylinder turbocharged engine, but you may want to upgrade to the available six-cylinder turbocharger, which has 355 horsepower. The X3 great performance will cost you, however: it has a significantly higher starting price than the NX.
Which is better: Lexus NX or Mercedes-Benz GLC? The Mercedes-Benz GLC ends near the top of our class ranking, and it has one of the best interiors of the class. It offers a more second row of legs than the NX, as well as more loading space and serene driving quality. If you are looking for a plush luxury ride, the GLC is one of the best choices you can make. The Mercedes carries a higher starting price than the Lexus, but it is worth the extra money.
How many people seat NX? This 2-row SUV has five people. The two rows of seats are spacious and comfortable, and they offer more of the head and legs you will get in some rivals. However, the tilted roof line of the vehicle and the narrow windows can make the cabin feel small. NX and car seats The NX has two complete sets of auto LATCH seat connectors. The system obtains a note from Good (the best note) for its ease of use, according to the Institute of Insurance for Road safety.
Indoor quality NX The interior of the NX contains a mixture of high-quality materials and hard plastics. Some commentators like the cabin design, but others think it seems too crowded and is not characteristic for a Lexus product. NX Loading Space Most competitors offer you more cargo space than this Lexus. For around 14 grocery bags, you get a little less space than 18 feet from the back of the area where the rear seats are enough. Folding the rear seats extends this area up to 54 m3.
Infotainment NX, Bluetooth and navigation The standard features of the NX 300 include an infotainment system with an 8-inch display screen, Bluetooth, USB port, Wi-Fi hotspot, eight-speaker audio system, satellite radio, and HD radio. Features include navigation, a 10.3-inch infotainment screen, a 10-speaker sound system, and a sunroof. The infotainment NX system leaves a lot to be desired. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto Integration smartphone, which offers most of the rivals, are not available. You control the infotainment system via the Remote Touch controller, which is frustrating and annoying to use. Many rivals have more user-friendly systems.
NX Engine: Only one option The NX comes with a four-cylinder turbocharged engine of 235 horsepower. While it is very good for driving around the city, this engine lacks PEP and offers slower acceleration than rival engines. Unfortunately, the more powerful options are not available for the NX. Gas mileage NX: Numbers above average Few other luxury compact SUVs get better fuel economy ratings than the NX, which delivers 22 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the freeway. You will save about $100 a year with the NX compared to a rival like the Acura RDX.
NX Ride and Handling: in position, but not athletic The NX 300 does not feel as athletic as many of its classmates. It is relatively proficient on winding roads, and the ride is comfortable, but it is firmer than you might expect for a Lexus. NX Reliability is the Lexus NX reliable? J.D. Power has not yet given the 2019 NX a predicted reliability rating. Lexus NX Warranty Lexus supports the NX 300 with a four-year/50,000-mile limited warranty and a six-year/70,000-mile powertrain warranty.
