Lexus SUV: Lexus NX 450h + PHEV
The NX 450h+ PHEV is the first Lexus (or Toyota) to offer a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle in Australia and is the flagship of the second generation Lexus NX lineup.
Starting at $89,900 before road fees, the car is powered by an economical 2.5-liter four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 136kW of power and 227Nm of torque.
This is paired with an 18.1kWh lithium-ion battery and permanent synchronous motors on each axle – producing 134kW/270Nm and 40kW/121Nm respectively – to offer AWD, as well as a power range of just around 70km (using WLTP).
Results? With 227kW, idle to 100km/h takes 6.3 seconds. A charging current of 10A will see a full charge take about 7.5 hours.
